The Canfor Spring 2017 Clay Tournament was a resounding success. A record number of forty-one teams registered to compete with other teams as well as the wind for the best score out of 400, or best out of 100 in the individual categories. Trophies were awarded for 1st and 2nd place in three divisions and 1st, 2nd Individual Overall in the 3 divisions.
The following brought home the hardware:
Division A – 1st Place – South State Bank #2 Total 318 out of 400
Division A – 2nd Place – SCE&G #2 Total 293 out of 400
Division B – 1st Place – Conway National Bank Total 207 out of 400
Division B – 2nd Place – Ferguson #1 Total 207 out of 400
Division C – 1st Place – Port City Homes Total 167 out of 400
Division C – 2nd Place – Bill Clark Homes #1 Total 161 out of 400
Division A – 1st Place – Ricky Evans, South State Bank Total 90 out of 100
Division A – 2nd Place – Weston Evans, South State Bank Total 86 out of 100
Division B- 1st Place – Sissy Johnson, 84 Lumber Total 54 out of 100
Division B – 2nd Place – Andy Crocker, Canfor Total 54 out of 100
Division C – 1st Place – Steven Morals, Monarch Roofing Total 39 out of 100
Division C – 2nd Place – Brian Flair, Thomas & Hutton Total 39 out of 100
Thanks to our Spring 2017 Clay Committee for a job well done. 100% of the funds raised from sale of the raffle tickets and Green Mountain Pellet Grill card chances totaling $3,501,51 were contributed to Camp Happy Days (in honor of Shelbie McCracken). Camp Happy Days is a camp which provides cost free year round programs, special events and access to crisis resources for children diagnosed with cancer.
