Welcomes new members and informs them of the many benefits of HBA membership. Develops programs to keep up membership morale. Assists with social media for the HGHBA. Works with HGHBA membership and area building officials on matters regarding local building codes, ordinances and regulatory issues affecting the construction industry. Educates members on code issues as needed. Berkley White will serve as the Liaison to the Building Code Officials Association of Horry-Georgetown Counties.
NAHB Student Chapter/ Education Committee Works with our student chapter and workforce development task force to steer our youth to the building industry to enhance our employee market. Home Builders Care/Pet Project
Gives back to the community by helping those who cannot help themselves. Projects have included building a home for a tornado victim, building wheel chair ramps, remodeling a youth home. Twice committee was awarded President Reagan’s C-Flag for Private Sector Initiatives. Also recognized as one of President Bush’s “Points of Light.”

Golf Tournament Committee
The best HBA tournament in the state with two courses and 256 players. Proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets and mulligans benefit a local charity selected by the committee.

Legislative Committee Monitors all legislative activities, which may affect the well being of HGHBA members and the building industry on all levels of government. Subcommittees consist of the Realtor Association Liaison, Local Legislation, State Legislation, and National Legislation Committees.
